Blu

Blu is a single, unrepeatable original — deep lapis and cobalt drawn through with veins of light, painted in crystal gemstone pigment that moves as the room does. In morning light it is quiet and oceanic. By evening the surface seems lit from within, the blue deepening until it holds the whole room. No photograph has ever held it. It has to be lived with.

The Namesake

She is named Blu — for the Moen daughter who carries the name. House of Moen has only ever stood for three things: art, family, legacy. This is where all three meet on a single canvas. To bring Blu home is to bring a piece of the family's own story into yours.

The Pigment

Blu is painted in crystal gemstone pigment — real gemstone, ground into the medium — and does what flat color cannot. Light enters the surface and returns changed. It is an effect impossible to reproduce, and impossible to look away from.

The Frame

Finished in a House of Moen hand-embossed crest frame, made to order and considered part of the artwork itself — not a border around the piece, but the last stroke upon it.

One of One

Blu will never be painted again, and never reproduced as an original. It arrives with a signed Certificate of Authenticity and its place in the House of Moen archive.
